Our Story
The Granville Assisted Living Center was born from the challenges faced by our founders, The Whitneys. In their quest to find suitable housing for their aging parents, they encountered a landscape where dignity, respect, and quality care for the aging population was largely absent.
Today, The Granville stands as a model for what a quality assisted living center can and should be.
The low income aging population can find not just a roof over their heads, but a community that empowers, respects, and values them. Our commitment and authentic care for our elders enrich everything we do here at The Granville.
The Granville is a living legacy of love to our parents and to respecting life in all its expressions, especially old age.
Our Values
-
Due Respect Means Protecting Privacy
Recognizing the emotional and psychological importance of privacy, we provide private living spaces for all residents. This emphasis on privacy supports residents’ self-respect, acknowledging the sensitivity of transitioning to assisted living.
-
Real Dignity Means Encouraging Independence
The Granville strives to empower residents, advocating for their independence and providing an unrestrictive environment that welcomes those from rehabilitation or in need of supportive care without confining their spirit or capabilities.
-
Staying Active Means More Good Days
Our residents are encouraged and enabled to use their minds and muscles. We’re proud to offer a wide variety of activities that engage and entertain our community. From Spring gardening days spent with our hands in the earth to weekly Bible studies, we want our residents to stay happy, healthy, and fulfilled for the long haul.
Our Commitment To Equitable Care
The Granville’s commitment to non-discrimination between Medicaid and private pay residents ensures all enjoy the dignity of private rooms. This commitment to privacy and equality stems from the honor we hold for our elders regardless of financial status.
